Hi all,
Today I'm sitting down to road test this new version.
As I work with SSL 360 on each channel I wanted to test the functionality to ensure it works like it did in v7.

Summary

It doesn't. where the name of the track is displayed in 360 is blank. Clicking the 360 channel should select the same channel in Studio Pro, it is hit and miss if it auto selects the corresponding channel in Studio Pro.
There is also a delay from touching the 360 fader for the corresponding fader in SPro to move.

Can anyone else who has 360 central to their workflow please test the functionality to see if you are experiencing issues. I think the reason for the poor intercommunication is due to SSL 360 referring to Studio One in the DAW setup section, which as we know doesn't exist by name.
I'll be back to v7 for now

Hey Stew,
I'm reading tight integration, and syncing with SSL 360 when used with PT, and Cubase. I don't think you'll find many users if even one in this forum using a SSL360. Did you purchase the 360 or are you trialing it? Its a beautiful piece of kit. Nonetheless, you had naming across the scribble stips previously and now you dont. I wonder if the narrow track width and grouping selections work like they do on the PT with the SSL 360 as well. Anyhow, its good you noted this and it should be picked up by Lukas to be passed on to command central. It's seriously important. If you get no user verification, pass a message to Lukas.
I'm sure it will get the attention it deserves.
Cheers.

Hi Loke, I'm not running the SSL control surfaces, I'm just using the 360 software dedicated to my touch screen. Fender Studio Pro first needs Mackie Control adding in the Options page of FSP8 with midi send and receive both set to SSL MIDI V PORT 1. Doing that enables the SSL 360 transport bar to control FSP8 transport. In Studio One 7 the track names were displayed in 360 but they are missing now that we have FSP8. Track selecting from 360 is not working properly in FSP8 whereas it was perfect in SO7. I think this may be a support request to SSL

Yeah, so an issue nonetheless when passed onto the 360.

Sounds like a pplan. Thanks for noting for proper usage and conformity. Be it addressed to SSL or ..... Oops, I was going to say Presonus. Hep me, .... hep me.

We'll get used to the name change eventually

Yep! Noticing the same things here. I also contacted Fender and SSL support about the issue. Fender said they are passing this info over to the DEV's and SSL said it is a new DAW so........ Oh, and by the way I am using the SSL controller.

Thanks. I hope SSL realises that it's only a name change and the architecture under the hood is still Studio One. Hopefully a minor tweak rather than an overhaul of the SSL code base.

Yeah, you would think so. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next update

On my home setup, where I have a problem with 360 talking to S1v7 (no track colours, names, or working transport control from the 360 window). I have exactly the same issue with FSP8. But I do have fader control in every direction (including echoing on my X-Touch One), so something's working!
