Studio Pro 8 - Discussion Thread

I find there is a strange duplication of features in v8. We have the new Channel Overview yet the Channel Tab still exists. The new Channel Overview features everything that the Channel Tab has yet the tab feature hasn't been removed

Channel Overview doesn´t show sends and cuemix, so I think it still makes sense to keep the Channel Tab.
 
Pro 8 has been super stable here. Not a single crash.
Love the new improvements.
Delighted to see Presence with a facelift.
Absolutely love the tight ARA integration with Tonalics, which is an absolute game changer for this writer-producer.
Solid as a rock with time signature changes.
Fingers crossed that editing tempo track changes will become equally refined 🤞

Hopefully they keep the channel tab and introduce a mouse control option to remove the auto-opening of the channel overview behaviour.
 
Congrat to the team!!!. If i could do a suggestion, next time comunicate with other complementary brands the announcement, so they can update the products under NDA and we (the users) dont have to wait and stop the studio because of that (i.e: slate raven)

To be fair, they don’t necessarily have to update - only if there are major compatibility issues or bugs in the plug-ins. I never update any of my plug-ins when I install a new Studio One/Pro update, and they’ve always worked just fine.
 
FSP8 8.0.1 fix my Slate Digital FG-X2!

SSL.... waiting for a fix for 360 and all their controllers - I'm not interested in a 'work around' name change. Fender really should work together with all 3rd party developers and be considerate of customers.

The entire industry works together and is interested in providing users with a good audio experience. However, we are dealing with a rather gigantic and complex overall system here. It is not just the host, but individual protocols that everyone must comply with (which not everyone does all the time!). And then we have the OS, where both the host and third-party manufacturers must run. Every OS must support the host, every host should support the plugin protocols, and every manufacturer should adhere to the specifications.

In such a complex system with so many variables, there can and will always be some unpredictability. All companies are constantly working to eliminate emerging errors. So it couldn't be more wrong to claim that companies are not working together.

I agree, its not anything in the way of "strange duplication" as much as tabs or ways to return to some generic setup. Its nice that they are there. From a distant view of course. ; )

Would be nice to have the option.

However the circle of fifths is still accessible for reference via the Key selector (near bpm setting)
 
Hello, in Windows 11 with FSP8 8.0.1, the program crashes when changing the chord in the CHORD track when using the original track with guitar, extracting chords from it, and using Tonalik on another track in the project. The program crashes constantly. Does anyone else have this problem?
My friend with a Mac M4 doesn't have this problem.
