Solved Studio One > Nektar Impact GX49, transport controls issue

DAW is Studio One 7 demo. Installed on PC and on MacBook. Controller is the GX49. Nektar’s integration software does not cause the transport controls to be automatically mapped - neither on PC nor Mac. Have also tried the manual method using setup instructions. First support ticket with Nektar did not help. Has anyone any ideas? Thank you! Joe

This is more or less what your configuration should look like, one control surface and one keyboard. Ignore what it says about sending to and receiving. If you don't see anything here you need to add the device by clicking on the Add button on the bottom of this dialog (look for your keyboard on the Nektar folder):

Notice how the keyboard receives from Impact but sends to None, while the control surface receives from MIDIIN2 and sends to Impact. It might be that you only need the keyboard device, but if you see both then use both.

Also, click on "Open MIDI Editor", the first icon on the transport bar (bottom left of your screen)

. When you press play on your Impact it should show something like this:

If there's no MIDI activity shown on the monitor then you need to go back to the device setup and check where's the device receiving from.
