Sound Variations questions

Hello, I am new here...

Is it possible to add a new sound variation to an instrument from which variations are loaded automatically? The "New variation" button is not available.

Specifically, I am referring to the Marimba from EW Hollywood Percussion. I would like to have both a hit and a roll on one track and switch between them using MIDI channel sound variations.

Or do you know of another solution?

Not directly - only with workarounds. Here are two ideas:

- Use the VST2 version. Last time I checked, the VST2 version of Opus doesn't support automatic sound variations.

A better idea:

- Wrap Opus in a Multi Instrument. Multi Instruments don't pass through Sound Variations from one instrument inside the Multi.
