Hi everyone,
I used Codex to build a small Windows utility called SongPluginExtractor, which reads Studio One / Fender Studio Pro .song files and exports a list of the instruments and plugins found in the project.
The idea came from posting songs in the "Made in Studio One" section here on the forum. When filling out details such as the instruments and plugins used, I thought it would be handy to have a quick way to extract that information instead of going through the project manually.
The tool generates a compact plugin list and a more detailed report. It also includes plugins that are bypassed or saved in the project but not necessarily audible in the final mix.
Tool information
I've tested the tool with different song projects and also successfully ran it on a second Windows computer (laptop).
It works locally and offline, does not require Studio One / Fender Studio Pro to be running, and does not modify the original .song file.
How to use
Extract the ZIP, launch SongPluginExtractor.exe, select a .song file and choose where to save the reports.
It's probably not something everyone will need, but I thought I'd share it in case someone else finds it useful.
If you encounter any problems or find that a particular .song file doesn't work, feel free to report it here.
