Something is missing

The Presonus Knowledge Base landing page doesn't have a mention or link to this site. Oh sure, Reddit and Facebook gets one, but not here. Someone should fix this oversight

For conversations with other customers, below are some useful links for social media platforms.

There is a large and supportive group on Facebook you can join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/presonusstudioone

There is also a Studio One Reddit that you can check out if Facebook is not really your thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/StudioOne/?rdt=41369

There is also a growing Studio One community building on GearSpace here: https://gearspace.com/board/presonus-studio-one/

Yeah, I honestly don’t get it.

This forum is hands down the most valuable resource I’ve ever found for Studio One. You’ve got incredibly knowledgeable people here, including Lukas, probably the most knowledgeable Studio One expert out there. The discussions here are focused, insightful and way beyond the surface level noise you find on FB or Reddit.

So why on earth does PreSonus not link to this?
Not a single mention on their website, not in emails, not even in a buried support article? It feels like they’re actively avoiding showing users the most helpful community they have.

Same with the Studio One Toolbox which Lukas also created. It’s an absolute treasure trove of tutorials. Not just from him, but also from Gregor Byerle, Joe Gilder and Marcus Huyskens. Marcus alone has some of the clearest and most in-depth Studio One teaching I’ve seen online.

And still: no mention from PreSonus. No links. No promo. Nothing.

Why?

Are they just being slow? Or is this some kind of internal policy to keep the best stuff out of sight?

If I hadn’t stumbled across this forum and the Toolbox by accident, I would’ve had no idea how much amazing content was out there or how deep Studio One really goes as a tool. This community is a massive asset to PreSonus, and honestly, they should be celebrating it, not hiding it.

Just my two cents...

It's not an oversight. This forum is not affiliated with Presonus directly. However this forum's founders are within different development areas of Presonus and Studio One, directly. So consider, you have an "in" to the good stuff without being trampled over by the likes of too much poorly related material by Facebook, Reddit, or Gearspace. Hurts saying those three names in one sentence.

Perhaps its only my opinion, but the information, talent, and resources around this forum are far better than elsewhere. Also, some of the base landing page is written by Craig Anderton, who is a member right here. He also has a post in this forum where his Studio One suggestions, write-ups, and book related topics can be discussed right here.
You be the judge of having that caving in, due to information overkill.
Just saying my friend. Thanks, but no thanks. The reason many are here, is because it's too watered down, there. 😉

This forum, whilst being somewhat under the radar, seems to be, for the most part, haunted by a larger majority of seriously experienced professionals than any of the more common neophyte zones that you referenced.
We rarely seem to get the "my car won't start... what is the problem" kinds of questions, thankfully.

With all you said prior, I agree.
However, I wouldnt make too much of it. Treat it like a best kept secret, like a great ski spot, or super great fishing hole. ; )

Luke, Ari, and team know exactly what they're doing. If Presonus don't get that, then let the chips fall where they may. Plus the OP stated, "ok, fair play".

Damn, knowone knows about this crazy good, awesome, fishing spot. What's up with that? I'm going to call the town newspaper, and my local congressman, and let know what the whole entire public and neighboring communities are missing out on! I'll show them! 🤪

Just funnin'

IIRC it was the Presonus support people who first pointed me toward this site, along with Reddit and FB, etc.

Clearly an oversight. I honestly don’t get it.
The thing is that PreSonus gradually but purposefully dropped their own forum in favour of farcebook. Wouldn't it make those who made that decision look a bit silly to then hook up with a private forum initiative? Hard to own up to a bad decision...

Did Craig ever get his old articles reinstated anywhere?

Talk about an archived wealth of knowledge... I seem to remember him saying they got nuked along with the old board, but that it was possible they might get re-posted somewhere.

But yes after the last board got 'sacked' -- presumably for not being as complimentary in tone as some corporate suit would have liked -- I'd much rather it WASN'T directly affiliated with Presonus.

Unofficial, in this case, might as well mean 'unobstructed'.

Not by PreSonus. However, in their defense, some of it was outdated. But what I've written for the blog is included in The Huge Book of Studio One Tips and Tricks, and almost all of the tips have been updated to remain current. Granted, the book is $19.95 instead of being free. However, because book owners get free periodic updates, I believe having updated/improved older material (which wouldn't have happened on the PreSonus site) gives more than value received.

As to whether PreSonus should direct people here, I moderate a forum on Musicplayer.com. It's run by the participants, and has no corporate affiliation. We do not actively promote or market it, and the result is the same as here - a limited number of highly involved people. Sometimes it's good not to draw too much attention to yourself. (To cover server and software expenses, there's also a modest paywall for those who want to participate instead of just lurk. This has the delightful side effect of keeping out ALL spammers (y).)

This Studio One forum is an outstanding, professional-level resource. The people who put together and moderate it deserve our gratitude, kudos, and if you can afford it, financial support.

Hey TD, I held off on responding until Craig could best answer that question (glad he did). While I had a good piece of that answer, Craig could best deliver on that and more about his book still having the relevent information.

Btw, I highly recommend Craig Anderton's Huge Book of Studio One Tips & Tricks, to anyone in the forum wanting such useful related fodder. You all may already have it. Anyhoo, I'm traveling and can't respond to the forum like usual.
