Shared Instruments - Why not every Instrument is shared?

Because maybe you don't want to have them all shared or you use multiple instances... As I understand the shared instruments they are more for those repeating stuff. Let's say you write rock stuff and you always use the same drum kit in your songs, than it is nice, to have it pre-loaded and you can switch faster between different projects.
What I will do with it is, that I put the instruments which are already in my templates into the shared section. Most of the other stuff I use more on the fly or for jamming ideas.

It's mostly for producers that work with very large orchestral libraries that would have to wait for them to load/unload every time they switched or open and closed songs, which is why some of them were using Vienna Ensemble to host those libraries.

Of course, it will benefit any large sample set that you use a lot for the same reason.
