Send FX Track to Cue Mix only?

Hey guys,

I'm preparing tomorrow's session with a singer and she asked for a little bit of reverb on her head phones.
So I set up an FX track (blue) and thought I'm good sending it to the cue mix (also blue), but the FX track also goes out to the master and I can't change it to my headphone outs or none.
What am I missing?

There's an older thread that also touches on the lack of FX buses in cue mixes. It is something Fender should have a look at.

For now I'd insert the reverb plugin directly in the cue mix FX chain and set the balance with the dry/wet control. Low latency mode may still disable the plugin but a solution using the splitter will for sure (as the splitter is not supported in low latency mode).

I think there‘s some option in the preferences under advanced that’s called „cue mix follows channel mute“ or something like that. That should allow you to use FX channels.

EDIT: That entry only appears if you enable "Use external cue mix system" first. However you can enable that, then change the "cue mix follows channel mute" and disable the "external cue mix system" again.

thanks I will check this out. that means I'd need to disable it and mute it for the listening bus, right?

You can set up a separate input channel for the singer's cue mix alone, using the same interface input you use for studio playback/recording.
