Seeking newbie help - monitoring of audio tracks

Hi all- Still new to Fender Studio pro, and having a problem with a basic monitoring issue:
(I use pretty much ONLY audio tracks btw. Guitar, bass, drums, etc.)

When I record a new track of say, guitar, on playback I am hearing the rest of the mix also. It
is recording onto my guitar track as well. Obviously I have my monitoring I/O set up wrong, but between
disabling hardware monitoring and pressing the monitor button, I am still having the issue. I know it must be something
very basic but I thought I'd reach out for suggestions. Thank you.

Not sure if it’s as simple as this but once you record something it will play back and you will hear it unless you mute the track. Monitoring only affects input signals.

Thats correct, however to be more clear, my problem is even when I solo my new track, I hear other tracks on it? I'm not using busses or groups, so its as if somehow I'm not setting my I/O correctly perhaps? Thanks!

SOLVED!
Pretty sure my whole problem was not using the 'Listen Active' button. I will endeavor to learn more!
