Remove chords issue

Hello!

Scenario: After recording an acoustic guitar track, I used the detect chords menu option and the chords are displayed on the event as expected. Then I use the remove chords menu option to clear the event which works as expected also. I save the song, close the window and shutdown S1. But whenever I reopen the song at a later time, the chords are displayed on the event. I prefer a regular event with the waveform but no chords. This has happened on various songs.
Any ideas what may be causing this issue?

thx for your assistance...

Any thoughts??

I'll try it out, tomorrow just to see how that also behaves. As you say, if you removed the chords, and they cleared. The expectation should be that the change holds upon the next startup.

The display chords setting is a global setting like some other (or all?) settings accessed via the track wrench icon. If you enable it in another song then this setting is used for other songs as well.

Thank you Jens and lokefly for your help... I will see if the global setting for displaying chords is enabled and report back.

Dig. Sorry I couldn't get to verifying this today. I ended up verifying issues on one I had just posted on an unnecessary extra clicks thingy. Will check tomorrow, though.

I think in your case, from your OP, its still on the track after removing, then returning to the song. Anyhoo, TBD.

Thx Loke... After unchecking the global chord display option, things are working as expected. Having other issues which leads me to believe its time to upgrade the computer. For example, every time I save the project, the packaging.preset loads which takes a about 5 seconds to save. Its not a game changer, but an annoyance.
Anyway, thx for your reply.
