Remind me how to copy/paste (or duplicate) respecting parts?

From within the piano roll l want to extend a series of notes of a string section (i.e. multiple tracks). Duplicate and copy/paste want to paste all the copied notes into one track whereas I obviously want to maintain the tracks that they came from.

I do remember there is a way to do this but I can't remember.

Anyone?

This, maybe? Transfer Notes / Paste at Original Position

Nope, I don't want to paste at the original position, I want it to paste in the same place that the DUPLICATE command would do (or where I've placed my cursor).

I want to paste at bar 4, but I want to respect the tracks that the copy includes:

Ah, I see. I didn't read carefully enough.

Yes, it's a bit tricky to duplicate it without moving the notes to the same track. That's a missing feature actually. The workaround is to select the notes (via dragging a rectangle or with Strg+Shift+C - this selects all notes on all tracks) and then Alt+dragging the notes to the desired position. Not as precise at pasting but it works.

Thank you, the Alt-drag is what I had forgotten!
