I have several old song that multitracked but are not quantized (free flow) and I would like to add MIDI instrumentation to them. Is there any way to put them into a solid time grid to effectively quantize them? I'm using Studio One 7.
You'll Probably want to tempo map those old songs. Assuming that the songs play fine by themselves you'll only have to create one tempo map per song, and associate that map with all the audio files used (by bouncing all tracks). That way you can make the whole song play to any (fixed) tempo or make the tempo track & grid & metronome line up with the original tempo swings of the song. Easy to flip between the two options too. Either way midi will play to the grid so adding midi instrumentation will be easy once mapping and bouncing is done.

Thanks! Actually the main part of the song is a bounced track consisting of drum machine and several guitar tracks so the rhythm is quantized. I just have to synch the quantization on the track with my S1 project.
What's happening is the Melodyne is doing things like transfering what is sustained notes (string pads) and breaking up them up into odd rhythmic figures and when I move them into EZ Keys they don't sound right. They're supposed to be sustained chords but become a jarbled mess.
Is there a setting I'm missing in Melodyne?
