PRS SE NF3

I picked one up a couple of days ago. Pleasantly surprised! I really like the sound of these pups and the fit/finish is top shelf. I especially like the neck - wide/thin, but not too thin, and the 10" fretboard radius is great. I was never really a Strat guy, so this is the same overall style but with a bit thicker sound. Not thicker like LP with PAFs, but thicker than a Strat.

Anybody else bought or tried one?

About 20+ years ago, out of nowhere Paul gifted one to my daughter when she was going through some seriously nasty medical stuff (which tells you something about the person behind the guitars). To say it lifted her morale would be a major understatement. It was one of the early SEs but I was shocked by how good it was. Of course she still plays it, and I get to play it when I visit. I agree about the neck - just strapping it on lets me play about 25% faster :ROFLMAO:

FWIW the only two products I officially endorse, not just recommend, are my PRS guitars and PC Audio Labs computers. I've paid for them, so no one can think I'm shilling stuff because it's free.

Happy playing, Bob! That SE will serve you well 🎢🎡🎸🎼

Congrats on your NGD, Bob!
Once upon a time I had a discussion with symphony orchestra musicians, and they were curious about different guitar models. We came up with a conclusion that timbre-wise Strats/Teles fall into violin/fiddle category, LPs & ESes are more cello-like, while PRS was qualified as viola. 😁
I dig violins and fiddles, it figures. πŸ˜„

That's kinda brilliant, actually.

Hi Soundwise. I'm happy to see you pop up again. Apologies for not remembering in which other forum you posted in. My PRS isn't an NF3, but when Thomann had 70 limited edition worldwide SE Custom 24 Quilted Maple in Blood Orange guitars made for their 70th Anniversary, I had to have one. It's a fabulous guitar.
