Pro Navigator - Find and Activate Inserts question

Hey there!
I have a workflow I'm trying to make a macro for.

I export raw vocal stems, except I want to keep all instances of a pitch correction plugin turned on, so that my edit stays in tact when I send the stems to my clients.

My solution is to deactivate all effects, and then use the "Find and Activate Inserts" to turn on the plugin.

The problem is, I have multiple instances of the plugin I want to activate, and the command only targets the exact name (including the instance number). So if I have 5 instances of the plugin open. Studio Pro will name them plugin 2, plugin 3, etc.

"Find and Activate Inserts" only seems to target the exact name (plugin 2, for example) and doesn't touch the other plugin 3, plugin 4, etc.

Is it possible to get it to target all instances of a plugin? Or do I need to use multiple instances of the command?

It would be ideal if I could target "plugin*" for example, and the asterisk would mean, all instances where "plugin" is mentioned will be targeted by the command.

Let me know if this is possible or not.
Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg,

welcome to the forum!

Yes, your idea makes perfect sense. I already implemented wildcards in the Select Tracks by Name command. It would be easy to support this for the "Find and ..." commands, too.

Just to fully understand the use case: Does this mean you have multiple instances of the same plug-in on one channel? Because if they're on different channels and only one per channel, then there shouldn't be any numbering...

Hey! Thank you!

I love Pro Navigator by the way. It was an instant and very excited purchase for me. :D

Hmmm. FSP's behaviour is very strange in this regard. If I add native plugins like Pro EQ on different channels, there's no numbering.
But when I use 3rd party plugins, the numbers show up.

To confirm. The workflow is using the same plugin across different channels.
Basically I want to export stems without any mixing, but with Autotune Artist activated on all my vocal tracks. (I consider it part of my editing chain).

Hope that makes sense!
