Pro Navigator 1.1 – You Decide What's Next! [Feature Voting]

First of all, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to enveryone who has supported Pro Navigator so far!

It's been almost two months since the release, and I'm incredibly happy with the positive feedback and support from the community. It's awesome to see how well Pro Navigator has been received!

Now it's time to start working on the next feature update: Pro Navigator 1.1!

I've already collected quite a few ideas and feature requests, but instead of deciding everything on my own, I thought: Why not let you help decide what comes next?

Below you'll find a poll with some of the features I'm considering for version 1.1.

Vote for the features you'd like to see the most! (Explanations in the second post.) Your feedback will help me prioritize development and decide which new features make it into the next update.

Of course, I can't promise that every feature will make it into 1.1, but I want to make sure I'm focusing on the things that matter most to you.

Feature Overview​

Here's a quick overview of the proposed features to help you decide what to vote for:

1. Custom Sort Order for "Sort Tracks"

Define a custom track order using a list of track names and automatically arrange your session tracks accordingly. Especially useful when starting a new mixing session after importing individual tracks.

2. Quick-Nudge Toolbar

Quickly nudge selected events with a single click using a compact toolbar (group). Easily choose between different units (bars, beats, seconds, or frames) for fast and precise positioning.

3. A/B Track Group Comparison

Quickly switch between two groups of tracks to compare different recordings, arrangements, sounds or mix variations. Switching automatically mutes one group and activates the other, making A/B comparisons quick and effortless.

4. Select Tracks by Type (Audio / Instrument / Automation)

Instantly select all tracks of a specific type with a single command. Especially useful in larger sessions where manually selecting tracks can be time-consuming.

5. Select Soloed Tracks

Select all currently soloed tracks at once. A quick way to work with exactly the tracks you're currently focusing on.

6. Select Global Tracks (Arranger / Chord / Marker / Video)

Quickly select specific global tracks, such as the Arranger, Chord, Marker, or Video Track, without having to locate them manually.

7. More Options for "Rename Tracks"

Expand the existing Rename Tracks functionality with additional text-processing options, such as trimming names, removing prefixes, and converting text to lowercase, UPPERCASE, or Title Case.

7. More options for Rename: I would love to see a feature: add numbers in a specific format (e.g., 001 - ), then I can export stems, and finally revert back to unnumbered track names.

EDIT: I remember I had a script that was provided by Presonus Support (Lawrence?) in the "old" Forum. It was a package called "prefixMixerChannels". But I don't dare to test it with my current Studio One version, because I don't want to run into compatibility issues. I also can't attach the script here. And besides this: I prefer to have such scripts as part of a larger officially supported packages, rather than having a bunch of "hacks" in my installed DAW.

Regarding the Color Wizard I'd like to see an option of colorizing events in the global tracks:

- Colorize events on the chord track by its value (=chord)
- Colorize events on the arranger track by its name

This is already possible if you use the "Append numbers" option and/or the [name] / [num] tokens

oh sorry, there was a typo. I meant, that arranger-events with the same name should get the same color. Or -even better- with rules like in the track color options.

Yes, I've seen this. But in your question from the initial post you specifically mention "removing prefixes". So this is a "YES" for me: Not only adding track numbers, but also removing them after stem export.

In the meantime I tried to undo the "Rename Tracks" after stem export, but this is added as "Audio Export" to the Undo history.
EDIT: what I mean is, that stem export adds to the history list and I can't directly revert back using "undo Rename Tracks"
