Plugin speed differences depending on whereabout the UI you click

Have they fixed the bug where, when opening any plugin window through the mixer or inspector, it opens with about a half-second delay? But when adding a plugin either through the channel overview or by clicking the track number, it opens instantly, as it should?

This was posted on the 8.0.2 thread, whilst many can't reproduce the issue, I can. Please note I'm not particularly concerned myself I just thought I'd help him out by reproducing and showing others the issue, and taking this onto another thread.

There is definitely a difference in plugin open times, but in both scenarios it's quick enough for me (it's noticeable but there's very little in it). People with slower PCs may, however, notice this more. Those who have faster PCs may not notice.

My hunch is that when going through the instrument track, the plugin gets cached in memory and thus opens faster. When going through the instrument rack, that doesn't happen. But who knows.

You are wrong about the double click speed.
Doubleclick in the Mixer's Instrument Tab would open the instruments Micro Edit crap.
So even if you click just once to open the gui, FSP has to wait until the "Double Click Time Window" has past, before your input can be performed correctly.
The only way to open the instrument instantly from there is to not have double click do something else... and now guess, what button in your video does not have a double click function.

Sure maybe you are right. You can debate that with @DoTheBeat. I'm moving on from this thread.
