PC recommendation for StudioOne

The mini's caught my eye as well. They've definately improved and look to have more than legitimate power. Like you say, following the Apple mini trend. I'd be a little cautious that some largely necessary things like power supply, and supporting components arent skimped over. But they do look impressive!
Good call. Let's see if UB_studio reports back because calling on help, also means reciprocating.

Nope, there's no argument here. OP asked for recommendations for a Windows PC build. One contributor missed that essential detail and recommended Mac. Everyone else understood the brief!

I've been building PCs at both the personal and professional level for 35 years. Obviously, I know how to read a post. Being directly in the stream of what's happening in the PC/Mac world, I was giving solid advice. I know audio/video studios that have lost thousands of dollars per day because of Windows 11 updates that broke their computers to the point where they had to call off sessions. Every studio I've done business with with has gone Mac. When you have major influencers/artists/studio owners, people that make their living off the reliability of their computers switching to Mac and not just plinking around in their bed room, there's definitely real reasons for that to happen. The recent jumps in price when it comes to components easily closes the cost gap.

Then again I think I remember you being a dick on the Cakewalk forums.

I have never, ever contributed to the Cakewalk forums. I’ve no doubt you are the picture of grace in all your dealings.

OP asked for PC advice. We are not entitled to assume that in fact he had no idea what he’s talking about and should instantly give up Windows and spend a lot of money on Apple products.

There are many, many people who have had absolutely no problem with Windows, and there are plenty who have had problems with Macs. Both can be found in this forum. I’ve used - and still use - both but, for reasons that are specific to my circumstances, my primary machines are Windows. No doubt OP has their own reasons, which should be respected.

Kinda says it all.

Providing videos such as "Why Windows 11 and Microsoft suck" is not necessary. I never saw the OP or anyone here as challenging that. The OP stated "PC", and thats been the general response for assistance. You simply could have stated, that the OP could consider a mac, particularly now with the M1 through M4 processor, and that would be valid offering. How many years of your experience, stating "plinking around in your bedroom", isn't going to help. But hey, we all have an equal say. It would be great if the original poster reported back, but that hasn't happened.
