PC build help

Here is my recommended setup (under £1500 / $2000):
  • AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D – L3 cache reduces latency in heavy sessions
  • 64GB DDR5 RAM – smooth multitasking
  • 2TB NVMe Gen4 SSD – fast sample loading
  • Be Quiet! CPU Air cooler – quiet and cool
  • ASUS X670E motherboard – stable & future-proof
  • NVIDIA GTX 1660 – a reliable GPU for DAW visuals
  • Fractal Design case + 750W PSU

That is not a bad system at all and your posts stand out in this thread for demonstrating actual experience and expertise. That said, while it fits within the op's stated budget, a valid criticism is that the 7000 is a step backwards (the 9000 series is the present), when ARM on the Windows side is about to revolutionize things for high track count lovers. So, credit for coming up with that, but ... if I were a high track count person, I'd at least like to know more about ARM (which is in its infancy on the Windows side, as in Intel 245 and 265 CPUs), ) and/or whether it would be worth it to try and scrounge up a few hundred more pounds to get into at least the 9000 series.
