Solved Option to Keep Inspector Window Locked During Toggle Optional View

Smith

New member
Hi, I am using Studio One 7 and I would like to request a feature for the Toggle Optional View function. When I toggle the optional views on and off, the Inspector window also hides. I want the ability to lock only the Inspector window so it always stays visible. This helps me keep track of my volume meter and other track information without losing the Inspector every time I toggle the other views.

A simple “Lock Inspector” option would make the workflow smoother. Thank you for considering this.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Thank you for considering this.
This is a community forum, so we can't consider feature requests here. We try to make that as clear as possible with the banner/announcement displayed at the top of the page:

This forum isn't the best place for specific feature requests as Studio One's product management does not officially monitor it. There's an official feature request tool where you can submit new ideas or vote for existing ones:

While thinking about this, you can create the desired behavior by wrapping the "Toggle Optional Views" command in a macro and showing the Inspector afterwards.

Before triggering "Toggle Optional Views", it's necessary to hide the Inspector first to make the macro work as a proper toggle command; otherwise, "Toggle Optional Views" would hide it instead of restoring the non-optional views.

I hope this helps!
