Solved Offline activation

From the OFFLINE ACTIVATION GUIDE:

Maintaining Studio Pro Activation: "Offline users with a perpetual license of Fender Studio Pro must follow the Offline Activation process once a year to maintain activation."

Then it says: "If you have a Perpetual license of Fender Studio Pro, your computer must be online at least once a year to maintain activation."

So, I can activate offline (which is the norm on my computer), but then I have to go online to renew?

Am I reading this right?

Thanks for helping

"... must follow the Offline Activation process once a year to maintain activation" suggests that you can repeat that process with no need to go online. The second line suggests that if you don't, with an offline computer, that SP will deactivate after a year.

Thanks SB,

so that clearly means even with an offline activation I will have to go online once a year, otherwise FSP shuts down, right?

Yes, with another computer, to obtain a renewed offline activation key.

Activation dates (also the ones used for offline activation) are kept in your Fender account which is online obviously. The offline activation keys themselves are date stamped too. It is that date stamp that will deactivate SP after a year. So if you repeat the offline activation process for your offline studio computer before the year lapses you're good for another year.

Thank you very much, SB, now I get it! And yes, I'm liking FSP so far and will upgrade :)
