I’ve just released MixBrain v2.0.3, and also launched three new tools:
GainBrain Free
IronPath Free
GainBrain Pro
MixBrain is a mix-preparation plugin system built around a Node + Master workflow. You place Nodes on individual tracks, then use the Master plugin to see the bigger picture: masking, balance, density, transient behavior, stereo width, and track priority.
The goal is not to automatically “finish” a mix for you. It is more like having a second set of eyes before you start making EQ, compression, and level decisions.
The new GainBrain tools are focused on the stage before mixing:
GainBrain Free helps with basic gain staging using VU, RMS, and Peak references.
IronPath Free adds a subtle analog-path style character. It is designed for small amounts of density and roundness rather than obvious distortion.
GainBrain Pro adds more detailed gain control and analog-print style processing for users who want a deeper version of the same workflow.
Intro Price
GainBrain Pro is normally $59, but it is available for $39 as an introductory offer until June 18, 2026.
