Mysterious bug in Scratch Pad

I haven't encountered this before:

I decide to 'copy' (not move) a one-bar arranger part to a (new) scratchpad.

The scratchpad is created and for some reason the content is looped.

Weird, but whatever, I turn off the loop.

I noticed if I soloed a track, I was still hearing some other track.

Worse, if I just hit play, after the one-bar content is finished (e.g. bars 2, 3, 4, etc) are still playing content.

(notice the play cursor in the middle of bar 4)

Has anyone experienced something like this?

I haven't used Scratch Pad since it screwed up a song I was working on - I think it has flaws which have caused crashing for me in the past. I would not criticise the current and latest Scratch Pad because I have not used it - I would not want it anywhere near one of my projects and have found workarounds. But I am not surprised others have had problems using it.

I used it a year ago and had no issues, so I was surprised.
