Solved Multiple Loop Ranges

Is there a way in FSP to define multiple loop ranges such that you can quickly toggle between them? My use case is learning song sections on my bass guitar and keyboard. So being able to quickly toggle between looping the entire song to looping the chorus or solo or bridge would be very useful and a time saver.

I don't know about that with loops ranges. Maybe someone can chip in if they know.
I'm thinking you could use Markers to quickly move between them I believe

After a little back and forth with my AI assistant, it got confused and offered this reply. I’m not sure if it is entirely accurate.

“You’re right—I contradicted myself. My first answer was the correct one, and my later claim that Fender Studio Pro has Arranger Sections was unsupported and should be disregarded. I conflated Fender Studio Pro with Studio One, which has an Arranger Track.

The accurate answer is:

• Fender Studio Pro does not provide Arranger Sections for creating named Chorus/Bridge blocks.
• Its Start/End “flags” are not a system for saving multiple loop ranges.
• You can mark locations and manually reset the loop range, but you cannot currently toggle among several saved loop ranges directly.

Thanks for your reply. The AI was wrong and FSP in fact does have an Arranger track. From what I understand so far, it’s a “labeling” of a subsection of your project defined by dragging the paint tool, which is useful. But it doesn’t seem capable of remembering a loop range placed on top of it, which forces you to manually set the loop range each time you visit that section. This is the original problem I’m trying to solve.

Is there a way to latch a loop range to an Arranger section such that when you double-click it to play that it will loop? The idea is that each Arranger section would have its own independent loop range.

I have found that Google AI consistently gets almost everything about Studio Pro wrong! It constantly confuses it with Studio One Pro, and not necessarily V7. It really does not have a handle on the user manual for V8, and you have to to ride it incessantly to get anything useful out of it - which you can, eventually! The biggest benefit of that is that you do the learning while AI screws up...

Many thanks . . . worked like a charm. Here's a bit more detail.
1. Display the Arranger Track
2. Using the Paint Tool, inside the Arranger Track, drag the section you want to define/loop
3. Right-click the section, then double-click the name to change as appropriate
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create multiple sections
5. The sections can be viewed in the Track Inspector
6. Right-click the Loop icon and activate “Loop Follows Selection”.
7. Activate the Loop icon
8. To play and loop any given Arranger section, simply double click it

Yep, in other subjects I find it to be fairly accurate, but it messed up with FSP. The good news is if you stand your ground and point out its mistakes, it re-thinks and frequently corrects itself. The better news is that humans here really know this wonderful tool inside and out.
