Anyone else getting this error in SubZero Bass when using this particular patch?

That's a very long file path.
Have you checked to see if the files are actually there?

Wait for other comments first, but you *may* be suffering from the effects of 260 character limit for file path.

More here (and solution) if so:

Once fixed a reboot and a reinstall may be necessary.

Or you could try taking steps to reduce that file path length..perhaps test by uninstalling the plugin and install it somewhere else a lot.shorter.(don't forget to tell Studio One where.it is).

Myself I had problems with NI Komplete so I reduced the file path, uninstalled/reinstalled and all was well.

I also use PreSonus Hub with other DAWs and here's where my Sub Zero Bass soundset file is located.

Thanks for the replies, however, this isn't Presonus Hub. This is from the Studio One installer. I don't think you have a choice on where those files go.

I have been doing IT work for 40 years now, so it was a good call about the 260 character limit, however, the directory, or anything even close to it doesn't even exist on my hard drive, so I have no idea why it is even looking there. If you look at the directory it is looking for, it is looking in my Projects\Songs\Misguided folder (Misguided is the song name I am working on). There is no such folder called Volumes in that folder. I didn't show you enough of the screenshot for you to see that. My bad on that. Sorry. I attached it.

Anyway, I think it thinks there is supposed to be media or something in there. No IDEA why it would be looking for WAV files in that folder for the plug in. I didn't render it out. In fact, I didn't even use that preset from Sub Zero Bass in my project, even though I DID use 3 instances of the plug in in my song.

Strange. I just wish there was a way to make it go away. I am betting this is some kind of super weird, probably non-reproduceable bug.

Below are the default locations Studio One uses for soundsets.

What location settings do you have?

It is pointing to the correct folder on my K drive. However, I guess I am totally confused. The folder that the sound sets is pointing to only has "Soundset" files in it. Not wav files. Why is it looking for wav files? I get that soundset files are compressed, likely containing wav files, but you can't search in them because they are a proprietary archive format. (I tried to open them with 7Zip...you cannot). So I don't think there is anything I can do, is there? Also, again, if you look at my last screenshot, on the bottom of the screen, it's looking in my song folder for the files. Why would it be looking there?

Check out the following video tutorial regarding soundsets...

Now that's useful ^ thx.

I guess I'm either not explaining myself well, or I'm completely confused. lol. Probably both.

Let me try again. First, that video is helpful. I didn't know you could right click on a preset to find where it goes...

Still, the point is, no matter what preset, or what loop you click on, if they are part of a soundset, it just points back to the soundset. You can't edit / modify those. You can't open them to see what they contain to see if there are any missing files. I've uninstalled / reinstalled that soundset and still get the same issue.

Also, why is the missing files pointing at my song directory, looking in there for the files? I've never even used a file with that file name. That is the part that is confusing me. I AM, however, using that plug in, with different presets. Which makes me wonder if one of the presets has a bug, looking for a file that simply doesn't exist.

I'm going to create another session using the same 3 presets and see if I can duplicate.

Ok. I just created a new session, used the same 4 presets...got the same error. I think that sound set is missing some files.

The 4 presets I used are Frighter, Rise To Sky, Raw Spirits, Whisper Wave. I'll try to narrow it down to see which of those is the likely culprit, and then report it to Presonus. Thanks though!

Well...that was easy...it's Frighter.

@Midiboy
Confirmed, I get the same 3 files missing?

Regards

I put a ticket in to Presonus about it. Last ticket I put in never got answered, but it was closed. So we'll see.

Thanks @Midiboy for submitting a ticket!

I confirmed and found that the issue is related to "Electric Blow Clean" within the "Frighter" preset.

Here's a workaround for the "Frighter" preset issue...

1. Click the "Electric Blow Clean" dropdown.
2. Select "Drag" in the dropdown.
3. Select "Electric Blow Clean" in the dropdown.
4. Save the change as a custom preset (I named it "Frighter 2").

Use the "Frighter 2" preset instead until PreSonus is able to correct the issue.

NICE JOB! Thank you!

As an FYI: Presonus responded. They are able to reproduce and have sent it along to QA.
