Hi there,
I am having problems to run Midi Guitar 3 on fender studio pro 8.
I am using a McOS tahoe (26.5).
I am usin MG3 as a audio track and Mai Tai as a intrument track.
I will really appreciate any help.

Thanks

Did you see this response to your post on the J.O. forum? If so, do you still have the problem? If not, then this:

Don’t set the instrument track input to ”all inputs”. It won’t work. Set it specifically to that mg3 instance you created on the audio track.

Thanks!
Yes, I saw it. Some one recomended me to post here as well and share a possible solution. So, I came to this forum before answer.
I tried what you told me but still its not working. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Settings?
Standalone MG3 works well.
Thanks again

Hi Alvaro,
MIDI Guitar 3 has its own very basic internal sounds.
What I recomend first is always trigger that alone with your guitar. As if it delivers on its own sound. Remember to set the record ready and monitor (blue) buttons for that track to trigger and sound. I've not encountered the need to not set all tracks on its input. All tracks, or any specific track will work at track Input, providing your source is properly set.

OK, you now have that working but would like to drive another sound source, or instrument.

With the first part (above) working which ensures your guitar is triggering MIDI Guitar, next add your Mai Tai. Drag that in place to its own track. For example right below the MIDI Guitar track.

Set that Mai Tai track input by clicking on its Input and selecting MIDI Guitar from the list of active inputs. This will now trigger Mai Tai as you play through the MIDI Guitar. You can then turn off the basic sound selection from MIDI Guitar to hear only Mai Tai.

Be aware of the settings to achieve the best performance from your guitar to MIDI guitar connection (first part). This will yield the best performance as there are so many different types of pickups, and levels to best trigger and meet your playing style with MIDI Guitar.

With the 2nd part, you can tweak how youd like Mai Tai to respond which will be easier, and extremely expressive.
Good luck!
