Mapping hardware controllers bad behaviour

Not sure when this started. Haven't been making much music lately.

In the past when I mapped a certain pot on my SSL UF1 to a control of one vst and the same pot to a control of another vst, i could use that pot depending on which vst was open.

Now, it seems hard coded to that vst and when I remap it to another vst, i lose the first mapping. What's happening?

It might be control mode and focus mode?

My focus mode is not working at all. The yellow button is showing but only the last one assigned controller button stays connected

This happens to me as well. I put this problem to several LLMs and they all say that there is a known issue with S1 and focus mode persistence and they basically describe what you and I are experiencing. No useful ideas were then suggested, so just checking to see if you've had any luck
