Long time Cubase and Logic user thinking of switching to Studio Pro, which version to go for?

I’m on a six month trial of Studio Pro 8 and am seriously thinking of switching. I can get a good cross grade offer but I think this is only for the standard version. How do people feel about the benefits of the Plus subscription - is it worth doing for at least a year to get a perpetual licence, also are the extra sounds etc. worth the price? I own Absolute 6 and Komplete 15.

Any advice appreciated

My personal experience with trying out any Daw is it takes a while to really understand how it works for you to make a decision about whether it’s the right choice for you. You are lucky to have a 6 month trial? The one I used was only 1 month. It wasn’t enough time. I let it expire and moved on to another Daw. A year later I managed to get another demo using different email. That time I bought it as at the time it seemed like my best option.
Funny my other best option was Cubase. Full version of Cubase is more than double the price of SP8. But I have Elements 15 already so can upgraded to Artist for about what I paid for Studio one a year ago.
It really comes down to what you use a Daw for and if your workflow goes faster in that particular Daw.
After using 6 different Daw’s over the last couple of years in the end any of them all do the same basic recording of audio. The biggest difference for me is the Midi editing.
Im pretty traditional in my use of a Daw and I don’t use loops or clips to assemble music.
But I do record midi parts like piano and synths.
Is SP8 midi editor better than Cubase? I’d say they are about the same.
The winner was actually Sonar the Daw I was trying to get rid of! I don’t see any future for Sonar it’s on shaky ground. I continue to use it for tracking audio and midi editing.
I can transfer my projects over to Studio Pro using CWP2song and carry on with the mixing.

It was a bit scary to just move over to Studio one and within less than a year they changed the name. At least Fender is not as indifferent as Bandlab. And we own a perpetual license. Another reason why I keep Cubase on the back burner. I own it! Im only renting Sonar.
Subscription without any perpetual license options are to be avoided. I think Sonar is the only Daw that you can’t own right now.

Not sure what the current diff is in $$, but I would prolly go the + route for a year to see if I actually wanted to use the added stuff.

I don't care much for samples and such (bet it's nice to have some), but I do use the share option that is integrated in Studio Pro. It's super convenient to have it right in the menu and the web I get a s lets you easily add timestamped comments to uploaded mixes.
I haven't really figured out what plugins are included in SP and what are + exclusive, that might bite me in the legs some time in the future...
