Long loading times - hangs on Fender Services Support

The loading process seems to hang at the 'Fender Services Support' support stage. Minutes pass (up to ~5).

Why does SP take so long to start up, and is there anything I can do to speed this up?

Bit of an update.

Strangely, if Studio Pro starts up at the same time as my computer, it loads quite quickly, not hanging on Fender Services Support.

- In other words, when I shut down, if Studio Pro was open (with the current file saved obvs), and it starts loading as soon as the OS has been loaded, it loads fine.

It also loads fine if I have previously opened Studio Pro in that same session (the computer having not restarted).

You can try to clear the recent files list on fsp8 startpage. Sometimes when recent files are on different (no longer available) locations it can cause loading lag time.

Another update.

I raised a support ticket with Fender. They asked if I had a VPN/firewall (I do not). They also asked me to try starting Studio Pro disconnected from the network. This is my reply to them just then:

I am not behind any VPN/ firewall.
Just my Mac, connected via Wi-fi to my router.
I do not experience any network-related problems on any other app that I use.

I tried loading Studio Pro while disconnected, and it loaded very quickly.

Final? update.

Support got back to me, advising that I disconnect my network before launching Studio Pro, "...as a workaround..."

The development team have been advised too I am told.

So, the problem lingers.

It's a long shot, but by any chance is there a splash screen you can't see behind it - like for a trial version that's expired, so it's waiting for a response from you, and nothing will happen until it gets a response? Maybe not having an internet connection prohibits it from "phoning home" to nag you.

I have encountered that scenario a few times, especially after installing a new plugin. But this long load time thing happens all the time - no matter if there is something triggered in the start up or not.
