Link external keyboard to Launcher Studio One

Hi everybody,
I'm new here and appreciate alle the valuable info that is provided on this forum.

My question: I own Atom but I would like to link pads on my Akai APC 25 to the launcher of Studio One. Is this possible or do I have to reconfigure Studio One everytime?
Thanks for any response.

Regards,
Leon Braam

Welcome to the Forum!

I see that the APC 25 was designed to work with Ableton Live.
Have you contacted Akai support yet to see if they have device files to support the Launcher in Studio One?

What do you have working now with the Launcher in Studio One?

The device files included with Studio One 7 for ATOM, ATOM SQ & Novation Launchpad can provide you insight for what's needed to support the APC 25.

Hello Trucky,
Thanks for the response.
No I haven't contacted Akai yet. Cannot, however, find something on Studio One at their webside.

I use the Presonus Atom now to activate clips in the launcher. Because I demo Studio One I would like tot show people that the clip launcher can also be activated by external non Presonus hardware. It appears to be a problem. There are several macros if you search on 'launcher' but I cannot get a ready preset.

Studio One 7 includes 3rd party device files (with Launcher support) for the Novation Launchpad series.

That's why I recommend contacting Akai support to see if they plan to work with PreSonus to help develop device files (with Launcher support) for their Akai controllers. Hardware vendors usually like opportunities to sell more of their products.

Agree with Trucky - I bought my launchpad after Presonus introduced the Launcher - still getting my head around it but the integration between Novation and Studio One is great and well thought out. Contacting Akai would be a good first step. Also FWIW there is a feature request that you might want to add your voice to (I have).
