License Question after Partner Dies

A friend and I purchased S1 years ago and updated a few times the license was in his name. He died last year and I was wanting to know is there a way to transfer it into my name?
 
This used to be possible for a fee, and you probably need access to your friend's Fender account. Best to contact Fender customer support for help on this.
