Mixed this gem of an album this summer on an old API, a few old reverb units, a pultec and Studio One. Love love love how Studio One handles outboard gear on consoles. It's just absolutely perfect for workflow purposes. Enjoy!

Is that A/c guitar sound a Martin by any chance?

Must be a real joy opening the box into someones talents, I applaud how you have set the music free, simple music style, but beautifully done in bringing it to life.

Nice one...

Kindest regards

I’m not sure but I texted and asked. The last time he came through here on tour I believe he was playing a 70s Martin, if I’m not mistaken.

And thank you for the kind words. You are a real one!

It has that Martin sound...
Many a great song has been played on a Martin, Love them.

All the best.

Pristine sound on this mix! Georgius vocal sound, bit of a dark tone to the guitar, but that complements the lush reverb on the vocal very prettily.

Nicely done Ian. Full bodied guitar and well mic'd. My compliments to Kyle on his title song "Anywhere but Here" as well. Very uncluttered, and exposed. I liked how the 2nd guitar track comes in at the chorus 00:46, adding a nice subtle stereo field and not too wide. Just the right ambience. I do here what seems to be a D18 Martin as well. Not as bright up top, but with wonderful soft mids. The sibilance and sound of the vocals are very clear. Tastefully placed EQ throughout.
Good job capturing the essence of the track, my friend.

To my ears, this mix does exactly what a mix should do - prioritize and focus the artist's intent. The music comes across as personal, unpretentious, and expressive. And I like that the tracks sound like they each got individual attention, rather than being part of an assembly line. The little differences also make it easy to listen to the whole album without wanting to click out. It has the "gotta keep listening to hear what happens next" advantage. Extra credit for either not using pitch correction, or at least using it properly :)
