I concur. K8 is MUCH faster and better than 7. I almost regretted opening sessions with 7 on them...(and I use Kontakt a LOT....like 20+ instances in many sessions, especially if I get into using a lot of orchestration. ALSO, and I'm sure this goes without saying, it's ALWAYS best to have your libraries on SSD drives. Cannot recommend that enough.

I don't like the UI on 8 at all though. I really prefer the UI from the older versions. I know you can make it look that way, but I'm having to do the extra clicks every time I open a session...is there a way to make 8 default to classic so I don't have to change it every time?

Great question. I used to set the outputs to S1's on many channels, then save the Kontakt output channels config. Not just the 4 bus outs (default) but every channel off the Kontakt mixer. Haven't tried this on K8 as of yet. You'd have to likely set up and save the configurations that you mostly use. It's worth exploring. I don't know when I can get there, but I'll post any findings in this thread if and when I do. You're welcome to explore that. I picked it up on a few YT vids back a while ago for K5 and K6.
