Keyboard Shortcut for Instrument Presets

I’m trying to figure out what the command is to navigate thru the instrument presets.

In the list of assignable commands under Presets the are Next and Previous options but those aren’t the ones that I’m looking for. The attached screenshot should pinpoint what I’m looking for

Anyone know where I can find them to assign or a there another way I can do it? I’m still using Version 6.6.1.99821 if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum!

The buttons in your screenshots are from U-he Tyrell. So you would need to look if Tyrell provides keyboard shortcuts for that. It's basically a different software :-)

Does Tyrell have a browser? Usually, you can use the arrow keys to cycle through preset lists in U-he synths.

Another option to look at after exploring Lukas' good tip is:
1. Try right clicking over the arrows if the
U- He instrument (or any instrument for that matter) has mapping. Usually, if mapping is available, it will be by that means to see if further controls are possible.

2. With some surface controllers, keyboards (such as Novation SL MkII), there will be an override dial. On the MkII, there's a knob designated "speed dial". Just hover your mouse cursor over any parameter, in your case a preset arrow and your knob will take over. Even the Presonus Faderport 8 and 16 have a knob for such things.
This won't give you a keyboard shortcut, but limit the need for the mouse.

Interestingly, the Audient iD Mk II series audio interfaces have that same mouse over control where the cursor is placed.

Ah, I hadn’t considered that point. I mistakenly assumed that the navigation buttons were universal in instruments. I just started using this instrument a few days ago so I know very little about it.

Thanks for the response!

Interestingly, there’s only one click action over those buttons which go in whatever direction they’re initialized to. So no MIDI Mapping options. Good thought, tho. I think there may be a point where the keyboard arrows allow u to cycle thru the patches but I need to take a closer look.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated!

Agreed. I used the word option as sort of a holdover. Key commands would be far better. Some manufacturers are more accommodating than others. In this case, it's not a Studio One shortcoming.

Yes, follow Lukas point as U-he allow up/down arrows as I recall from an older synth I used with Reason many moons ago to move through presets.

Anytime. Enjoy!
