Keyboard commands

New to Studio One 7. Having trouble recording drum tracks with a remote QWERTY keyboard. I can get it to arm the track (r) and engage the transport (space), but can't figure out how to actually engage recording on the tracks.

Record [NumPad*] and Playback [spacebar] are different commands..

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I consulted the knowledge base prior to posting. My remote keyboard doesn't have a NumLock key, nor does the on-screen keyboard on my laptop. Pressing the NumLock key on the laptop's physical keyboard does nothing. So I'm not sure how to engage NumPad. I just mentioned the spacebar starting transport to verify my remote keyboard was working with Studio One. I thought there might be a workaround.

What @Crossinger said. Open the keyboard shortcuts menu and add another assignment, you don't even have to remove the other one..

Since I constantly work in four different DAW's, I have mapped it so that the KB shortcuts are uniform across each; [R] is Record, [CTRL-R] is for Retro-Record (for those times when I'm just messing around and realize "that's what I wanted to play!"). Muscle memory.

Yes, I'm a longtime REAPER user, but their wanting me to pay all over again for updates really pissed me off. So I'm just starting to scratch the surface with Studio One. It came with my Studio 1024c, so I thought I'd give it a try. I may set it up just like I have REAPER.
