Izotope Insight works in channel, but not in master?

Hi,

I noticed that Izotope Insight doesn't work in master, neither in Insert nor in Post. The meters don't react.

Insight does work, however, if inserted into a channel. But that's not how to use it.

Edit: the meters of other plugins don't react either when inserted into master. I tried a UA compressor. It works (you can hear the compression effect), but its meter doesn't move when inserted in master. When inserted into a channel, everything is ok. So I think there is something wrong in the way Studio One passes GUI update information to plugins that are inserted into master.

Does anybody know what is happening here and how to fix this?

Regards, Michael

I noticed this kind of symptom if I used S1's audio device dropout protection. Turning that off fixed the issues, so I stopped using dropout protection.

Yeah, drop out protection is a hit or miss for several plugins, especially Izotope ones. Not sure why. It also causes some of my Waves plugins to act weird, but ONLY if I have that channel set to be monitored. If I turn the monitor button off, they work fine. It's really weird.

The issue described in the OP affects all plugins that have animated GUIs, not only Izotope (tested with plugins from UA, Native Instruments and others).

Izotope plugins work fine when inserted into channels. However, I do not use Wave plugins.
