Is there a way to disable plugin expansion in the console?

I hate that when I click on a plugin in the console it expands. I waste so much time accidentally expanding (and then purposefully collapsing) them.

Single click for Micro View (Double click to open or expand plugin) is by design.

Feel free to add your vote at the following link to change this...
Single Click Open a plugin instead of Double Click

Thanks, Trucky.

I did find that if I right click on each plugin, I can customize which settings appear in the plugin expansion and removing all of them disables the expansion. Hopefully if I do that once and then use track presets I can avoid this extra work, lol.

Btw, is there a way to drag multiple plugins from one track to the other? I'm guessing not since you can't 'select' them. I did try modifier keys but had no success.

And I voted, thanks again.

Yes, just click and hold on Inserts, then drag and drop to the destination track insert you want it copied to...

In the future please post additional questions to a new thread...

Hey @madFloyd- I ran into this last week when I was mixing. I just came back to Studio One now that the MPE fix has been posted so the Micro View thing was new to me. There is a built in function to collapse all micro-views! Bring up Keyboard Shortcuts in the Options menu and assign a key to it (just type "micro" in the search box). RELIEF! Of course, I didn't find this until I finished mixing, but next session will be less frustrating. I am still going to vote for the change posted by @Trucky (thank you).

Hey, thanks, Brian!

How to get rid of Micro Edit Parameters of all once used plugins:

- Backup: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 7\PluginPresentation.settings

- Open "PluginPresentation.settings" with Text Editor

- Find (Cntrl F): microEditParams=" and replace numbers manually with "none"

- Then "Find&Replace" flags="0"/> with flags="0"><Attributes x:id="attributes" microEditParams="none"/></PlugInInfo>

Most of PA plugins that i have doesn't have "setup micro edit parameters" so i can't solve that trouble with the expansion. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Anyone try this? It did not work for me.

I opted to not do it and ended up doing it manually inside Studio One for each plugin (one-time job).

I refined the approach a little bit:

Backup
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\PreSonus\Studio One 7\PluginPresentation.settings

Open "PluginPresentation.settings" with Text Editor

Find (Cntrl F):
microEditParams="
Replace numbers manually with "none"

Repeat until there are no more of these number to be found

Then
Find&Replace (All)

flags="0"/>

with

flags="0"><Attributes x:id="attributes" microEditParams="none"/></PlugInInfo>

Then
Find&Replace (All)

flags="1"/>

with

flags="1"><Attributes x:id="attributes" microEditParams="none"/></PlugInInfo>

Then
Find&Replace (All)

flags="2"/>

with

flags="2"><Attributes x:id="attributes" microEditParams="none"/></PlugInInfo>

Two caveats though:
- This will not remove Micro Edit Parameters of plugins that were not yet opened in S1
- and it will not work with stock plugins or most plugins from plugin alliance for some reason

Thanks, this worked for me. :)
