Is Everybody OK?

Hi. I was just wondering if everybody who had access problems with Studio One is back up and running. I just checked mine and all is well. I do remember seeing something in all the mess about a merger between Studio One (Presonus) and some other party or did I just imagine that (possible)?

I never had an issue. I do not have a Fender account, haven't had to create one...all is well.

Worked flawlessly here ...

I do find it a bit scary that a large conglomerate business now owns this Daw. Just look at what that’s done to Sonar. There is a long history of big music companies buying Daw’s and ditching them with out warning.

The story of Tracktion where Mackie bought it and ditched it but the original developer Julian Storer managed to get it back. It makes me trust that company knowing who the person who owns it is.
I didn’t know Fender owned S1 when I bought it. I might have hesitated. After getting screwed over by Bandlab.

But hey, Im still a huge Fender fan and just bought my 10 th guitar from them. I still have my 1972 Princeton. A 67 P bass and so on.

I just had a thought. I wonder if I register my new Fender guitars if they have Studio one license as a perk?

I installed the Fender Studio app on my iPhone just for laughs. Haven’t had a chance to use it but it would seem like it would be a great song writing tool.

Sitting on the couch playing your guitar and all of a sudden you find yourself with a great song idea.

In the past I always had my Tascam DR40 close by but even that takes too long to get working. So I’ve just been using my phone.

Later I have to listen and then re play it into the computer.

It seems like this app would eliminate that step. Not sure how to get the file from the phone to the computer but I imagine that there is a cloud storage involved. The bonus is that you can play along using a drum grove or something. Supposedly that can be saved and opened in S1.
