Genre
EDM
Instruments
70' Gibson Les Paul Custom (fretless wonder) and 68' Fender P Bass. Drums are a mix of Studio Drummer, B4.
Effects
Ehm..... trying to remember, but I'll add any if the conversation lends itself there. Otherwise, I kinda forget. 🙂
Special techniques
Guitar went through Neural DSP Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+. Through a stereo Guitar Rig 6. Too much to list, but guitar maintained great stereo presence. Hard panned at places, just for fun. Several split tracks here, which helped the slightly hot mix. Admittedly, theres a lot on the dynamic side of things. This was intentional.
Released when
In process.
Hey, I had some fun with this as a slammin' EDM, with a pinch of progressive. So, I'm adding a few additional tracks, but I'll update as it evolves.

As always, synths, and Instrumentation are from the ground up. Never any loops. As always, have fun with what ever it is you're doing!

Hey I like this! Listened to it a few times while troubleshooting in the sun room. Nice job James!

Thank you brother! Fun in the Sun!

I could handle an album like this as part of my day (y) I think I'll dive deeper in your Bandcamp catalog. I like that you've done something sorta ambient, but with enough variations that you can listen to it and it stays interesting.

My only suggestion (but I'm not 100% convinced it would work) would be a little more decay on the drum ambience. The music has such a good flow that the drums might become more of the flow that way. But it would be hard to know without trying it.

Thank you, Craig. Sort of a fun string of controlled chaos as it is. : )

Awesome. BC is a nice backdrop for ideas, and it's proved to provide a lot of air play.

Yeah, definately worth trying. My initial idea was keep drums largely tight & dry, and since the punch was there, leave them be. Only they're shorter (dry) in length than I usually go with. I think you nailed exploring that possability and see if it flows. Good call!

Good call!

Maybe :ROFLMAO: I make suggestions to myself about my music all the time. TBH I'd say that when I actually do them, I keep about 50%. I noticed the percentage is pretty similar when working with other artists. I like that your drums are tight, and the punch is there, so in theory increasing the reverb decay time shouldn't interfere with that initial punch. But you never know...the law of unintended consequences is alive and well when you alter a mix!

Thank you for the nice compliment my friend. It's been an eventful year moving, and I ended up with lots of unfinished song projects. But I hope to roll up the best of them and get them out. All while remaining a moving target. 😃
