Impact Drum Layering (+ New User Introduction!)

Hi Studio One people!

First off, this is my first time posting on this forum. I've been using Studio One/Pro for over a decade and it's my favorite DAW for sure. I've used others over the years but I always come back. I'm just a hobbyist musician but love messing with production stuff as well. I released my own EP several years ago, all done with Studio One!

For the Impact drum pads, how do I layer a drum sample on one pad? I see there's an option to layer, but anytime I drag & drop a .wav from the built in browser, it doesn't allow me to layer on a single pad. For the record, I don't use any 3rd party loops or samples. I'm just using whatever comes with Studio One and the factory "add-ons". What are the conditions to be met in order to layer samples?

Thanks and glad to be here!

Over in the Browser - highlight a half dozen kick samples (for example) - and drag the whole stack over an empty pad in Impact...

But before you let go of the mouse button to complete the drop - toggle CTRL on and off on the keyboard and watch the little label change....

Magic time.
