What is the deal here?
Is there still a continuation of Studio One someplace that I don't know about?

What version of the DAW is Studio Pro? Is it just a rename of Studio One Artist?
 
Studio Pro 8 (by Fender) is the follow-up of Studio One 7 (by PreSonus), both by the same development team. Many users are still on some version of S1 so support continues from this independent forum. Eventually hardware/OS updates will bring most of us to the latest and greatest.
 
There is also Fender Studio, which is a free DAW on all OSs (including iOS and Android). It uses the basic code from Fender Studio Pro (Studio One Pro as was), and is a great way for people to learn the workflow. There are no paid tiers of Studio Pro as there used to be with Studio One up to v6. It's Pro or nothing.
 
Ok that's kind of what I thought. I didn't know that it was free to use Fender Studio. I wonder what you get for free with equipment, or if Fender even is putting out any interfaces or other gear these days. I really have paid no attention since they discontinued Studio One.
 
Studio One did not get discontinued. It was continued (like S1 v7 was a continuation of S1 v6 etc.) albeit under a different name. Even the version numbering continues from where S1 left it at. So coming from Studio One Studio Pro feels at home immediately.
