How to reverse the Explode to Pitches command?

The Instrument Parts menu has an Explode to Pitches command that takes the notes from a single instrument part and creates multiple tracks, each track having a single pitch. I use it to separate drums parts for individual processing, very common I suppose.

To put them back into one track for convenience in editing, I have been copying each part into a new track one at a time. I can't find a "Paste to One Track" command to let me do them all at once.

Is it possible to make a macro to take the selected parts and put them into a single track in one step?

No, but it will be possible with a command in my upcoming add-on ("Move selected events to single track").

Currently the workaround is as you describe: Move the parts onto one track (or cut and "Paste at original position"), select them and merge them.
