How to deoxit Microstation BT?

The potentiometer on my Microstation BT crackles whenever I move the knob. Even after turning the knob 50 to 100 times, the crackling only disappears for a short while. I was considering treating the unit with Deoxit F5 Faderlube spray.
What is the best way to go about this, and is this actually recommended for this device?

Yes, it is safe to use. You might be able to get away with removing the knob and squirting a VERY SMALL amount down the shaft or, if it is secured by a nut, you'll have to open the case to get access. Either way work the pot back and forth a good few times to work the cleaner across the pot wiper area. You only need to get a tiny amount to the pot track so don't go crazy. Deoxit is good but there are much cheaper options. Look for stuff that says cleans and lubricates and that is safe on plastic.

Sounds like bad circuit design (no DC decoupling) or a fault (loose/bad capacitor). I'd contact customer support for advice.
Yeah maybe. Atom SQ Display was bad too.

Thank you very much, I´ll will try that first seeing how it goes.
