How to automatically "Export Mixdown" for multiple sections of a sliced up song

Hi all:

I have several long audio files that I would like to split into individual audio files. So, after importing a single long audio file into a Studio One track, I then split the long file at specific points into many sections (20 or more sections depending on the file). Then, I would like to be able to save each one of those split sections individually as a new MP3 audio file with sequential numbering using the Export Mixdown process. Currently this involves repeatedly moving the Start and End markers and then going through the Export Mixdown process for each section. I guess this would involve some sort of a macro function. Does anyone have a recommendation to automate or streamline this process?

Thanks!

There's the 'Export between each marker' option. I think the most effective process would have you place a marker at the start of every section you want to export, delete time between end of each wanted section and start of the next one (to avoid exporting useless bits) and then evoke the 'Export between each marker' option. Renaming if needed could be handled by a file name editor. Something like that.

My first attempt (only partially tested):
1. Add multiple audio tracks, the track number (with the same base name) will increase automatically.
2. Cut each event and move it to an empty audio track.
3. Select the event of the original track.
4. Select next track, the event of that track should be automatically selected.
5 Transport->Set start and end (marker) to selection
6. Song->Export mixdown between start/end markers

Step 4, 5 and 6 can be combined into a macro. So just repeat the macro until you're done.

Thanks friends for the tips. I will try your suggestions and see if I can make these work! Much appreciated(y)(y)(y)

Just a short follow-up. My rushed attempt doesn't really work. The whole file (re)naming idea isn't working. The mixdown export doesn't use the track name, only the stem export kind of does.

Wow! I tried the SwitchBack option by adding markers followed by "Song/Export Mixdown/Between each marker". The files were created automatically and named sequentially. That was so easy!!! Luckily I didn't have to delete any spaces between markers since I each piece was followed immediately by the next piece without any dead space. I love this group!
