Solved How does one add a track icon?

In the mixer, if I click once in the track icon area, nothing happens. If I double click, it opens the new track view (or whatever it's called).

I cannot figure out how to add an icon...

You have to look in the mixer options and make sure that "show icons" is enabled.

Thanks, but I already have icons showing:

Thats quite a surprise answer. Since that was the case, you only need right click on the selected track and right click over the icon field. Is that not working for you?

That was how it used to work, way back when Studio Pro was..... :)
I've tried it, and now adding an icon in the mixer won't work.
I did find a workaround, just add the (track) icon in the track panel, it'll then automatically show up in the mixer as well.

Looking at your picture, the selected Channel has a very faint small triangle showing in the upper right corner of the track icon area, Click this triangle

Thank you!

Very interesting GUI approach. Not what I would have done. From this, one could surmise that track icons aren't deemed important.

And no, you can't simply do them in the arranger track area when you have multiple outputs from an instrument (e.g. a drum VST).

Thank you!

Huh, stumped me as well, and the change seems less accessible. I guess it will become natural going forward. Still, a mere right click seems more lean, and purposeful with how Studio One rocks. Sorry for the wrong info I suggested.

No need to apologize. This caught us by surprise!
