Solved Has Anyone Gotten Aux Channels to Work with the x8p Apollo Rack Interface?

The x8p has 8 mic pres. If you want 8 additional line ins, you need to use a breakout cable. When you want to use, say, line ins 8 + 9, you have to switch at the UA Console for Inputs 1 and 2, which then automagically switch to the 8 + 9 line ins. I know, it's weird. So, I haven't been able to figure out how to attach an external device to the audio channels you want to use as an Aux Channel in FSP8. There's probably a way, but I'm not finding it. Has anyone encountered this and gotten it to work?

I find this stuff Interesting Craig as Way back in the day, lol I used an Tascam MX 2424 (still have the mx 2424) for quite some time until computers got powerful enough to handle the load. Lot's of In's and out's along with special cables (breakout cables) were needed sometimes. In my case the breakout cable(s) were great once you realized or found out how to work them. I'm happy to say in my current set up (i don't use the mx 2424 longer) I don't need any special breakout cables. If UA claims it works then it surely must. The automagically switching, lol is what seems very odd. If you get it sorted please post 🖖

The Apollo's DB25 line inputs are normalled to mic/line combo inputs 1-8, so they replace these inputs when nothing's connected to the combo sockets. For additional inputs you have to use an (8-channel) ADAT A/D converter.

Thanks - that's the answer I needed. Much appreciated!
