Solved Harmony Wizard - Activation Failed

Hi,

I recently got Harmony Wizard and have installed it as normal, but when I need to activate it, I constantly get the "Activation Failed" window popping up every time I do this.
Have made sure that my email is correct, and have tried both copy/paste and entering in the licence key manually but to no success.
I'm not sure if there is something else I'm missing but it doesn't appear to activate. I see the Harmony Wizard extension in Studio One, but it doesn't appear to work (probably because it's not activated).

If anyone has any advice on what else I can do to make it work, or any other solutions, that would be a great help.

Please add your Studio One version and system specs to your signature (see link and example in mine) since you don't mention it in your post.

Thanks for getting back to me. Have updated with a signature with system specs as you requested.
 
Ok, so first try updating 7.0.2 to 7.1.1.

Then follow installation steps...
Harmony Wizard Installation

Please post screenshots of any errors.
 
So I have updated Studio One to 7.1.1
I also uninstalled Harmony Wizard, restarted Studio One, and then reinstalled Harmony Wizard (along with restarting Studio One again)
That process still seems the same, but activation still gets Activation Failed message.

Thanks for confirming that activation is still not working!

@Lukas can check on this when he's back from Superbooth.
 
I'm also getting Activation Failed (setting up a new PC) :(

We successfully activated HW on Gregor's and several PreSonus computers at Superbooth.

Could you clarify if this issue persists? I will investigate the activation server, as the "Actication failed" error can have several causes.
 
No, it says "Harmony Wizard is already installed". However, while the Macro page is available, the functions don't seem to work. For example, I can select chords and choose "create bassline from selected notes" and nothing happens.
 
Yes, that means it's installed but not yet activated. You can activate it by going to Studio One → Activate Purchased Items.

If Harmony Wizard is activated correctly, then you should see the Chords section in the Action menu.

However, it seems it's a browser issue. I use Brave, so I turned off it's "shields" and then it worked fine, so I'm all set.

Sorry for the trouble.
 
That's good to know - thanks. I've seen some "Failed to fetch" reports in connection with the Brave browser. It seems the browser is trying to block "ads" but sometimes also blocks legit requests.

So the buttons on the macro toolbar are working now?

Sorry for the late response. Thanks for looking into this for me, really appreciate it.
So following Lukas suggestion of the browser blocking fetch requests, and what madFloyd did by disabling "shields" in the Brave browser, I did something similar in Opera GX.

Went into the browser settings, and in the Privacy and Security section, I deactivated Block Ads and it has now fixed the issue and has activated successfully.
All the functionality of Harmony Wizard is working as well! :)
