Giving It One More Go

Greetings (again)...been quite a while since dabbling with Presonus now Fender, as I couldn't even open S6 for unknown reasons anymore. Been bouncing (pun intended) between PT 2025 something and Logic 11.2 but both are somewhat annoying, each in their own right. Read today that I could get a Fender license for less than $100, so here we are... I have a (hopefully) simple question and perhaps a glitch to report.

Question: On the mixer screen, I click on a plug in insert, and on my system (2018 Mac mini Sequoia) the plug in controls appear as sliders in the window. Id much rather just see the plugin graphics without having to further activate the 'edit' button on the insert pull down. Is there a setting I haven't found somewhere for this?

Glitch: Occasionally I get up to do whatever, and when I do I activate CTRL+H to hide whatever I'm working on. This functions perfectly on every other program I have, except Studio One. Doesn't work with the shortcut of manually using the pulldown. I know its near the bottom of anyone's priority list, but just wanted to know if a) anyone else has had a similar experience, and b) if there's a workaround or something I'm doing wrong.

Thanks - thus far the experience has been much more pleasant and easy to work with, hopefully I'll be able to get with it enough to make it numero uno

Single click: open the plugin graphical interface, double click: open the compact view with the sliders. That behavior is new in version 8.

Hiding an active app in MacOS Tahoa is CMD+H (not CTRL+H) and it works fine with Studio Pro 8. Maybe it was different with older versions of MacOS, but I don't think so.

Is this Ken Morgan who used to frequent the 3dB audio forum? If so, I'll reach out via DM.

Regarding the Hide function...seems we were both right.

Come to discover the Hide function works (for me) only when using only one screen, with the mixer appearing on the same screen as the tracks and such. My workflow has always been to have the mixer open on its own screen; when doing so, the Hide function doesn't work.

Such a minor thing as I didn't know if it was worth bringing up again...
