Gain Vertex/Vertices Mode [Feature Request]

Hi guys. I'm new here and would like to make a feature request for this incredible software. GVM as coined in the title, is a feature where right clicking on a waveform provides a function where one could have a number of vertex points in a form of a mesh, based on how the sensitivity is dialed in. And the role of the vertices is to either boost of attenuate the gains on sections of the waveform, much like how you'd do it with automation. But i figured this feature would be more efficient and faster, so you won't have to spend 2-3 hours manually adding automation points in a heavy session. The vertices would basically attenuate the edgy and annoying peaks in waveforms without having to sacrifice system resources with tools like gain riding plugins.

I hope this request is graced and accepted with the kind consideration of the software team. I don't know if t's a big ask, but I've used a few DAWS in my lifetime, and there's none close to how FSP handles performance. One could equally argue for the use of automation. But having pondered and considered other options and alternatives, this appears to me way more efficient and "better" :)

Thanks for the reading and hope to hear what you guys think of this request.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

We’ve really tried to make it clear through various notices and info threads that this is not an official company forum, but an unofficial user forum. Even though I’m somewhat involved in feature planning, the official place where feature requests are collected is - as chichogp mentioned:

The feature you’re describing sounds very much like Clip Gain Envelopes:

This sound a bit like like a compressor threshold function where the points above the threshold are highlighted (to dial them down). In Wavelab you have a similar kind of functionality where you can spot the peaks of a wavefile when you analyze a file. Can be usefull to gain more headroom. Would be nice in combination with tab to transient or track transform.

@Lukas

Is it an idea to publish the url's of Fender support and Fender feature requests on the main page?
