Hello Everyone!
I have some issues with FSP8 which persist even after the latest update ver 8.0.1. I hope this reaches someone who can get this to the development team. Meanwhile, I have also created a support ticket in My Fender account.
1. In my session, if I have a few tracks already going to a bus, the routing remains unchanged when I drag these into a folder with a bus assigned to it. For example, I have 2 audio tracks and 2 instrument tracks in the session and their corresponding channels in the mixer are routed to a bus named MIX BUS.
I now create a folder track, added a bus channel to it, and renamed it to MUSIC BUS. Now in the arrangement window, I select the above mentioned audio and instrument tracks and drag them inside the folder track. The tracks still go to MIX Bus instead of MUSIC BUS. This did not happen in Studio One 7.
2. This is connected to the above issue. In Studio One 6.2, a Bus folder macro was made available by adding a new command "Add bus for folder track". Lukas Ruschitzka and Gregor Beyerle made videos on that. I have used that Macro extensively through all subsequent editions of S1. That macro doesn't work now.
3. In the Inspector, the Event Inspector and the Channel Fader were earlier separately adjustable for audio and Instrument tracks. I mean to say that their heights could be independently adjusted for Audio and Instrument tracks. Now they are the same for both Audio and Instrument tracks. This causes issues as earlier I was able to customize and view less parameters in the Midi event inspector and have a longer fader with ins and outs on instrument tracks, while keeping more info available in the audio event inspector and still a usable fader length on Audio tracks. This is no longer possible.
I hope these issues resonate with enough users so that something can be done about it.
Also, if anyone has any workarounds or fixes to offer for these issues, I am all ears.
PS : I am on a Windows 11 PC.
Thanks.
