Fixed vs Floating Send and Insert Locations...Possible?

Old school console/really trying to be a ProTools convert guy question:

Is there a way to change the way sends and inserts work so assignments consistently are routed from fixed locations as opposed to the floating locations currently offered? For example, in sends, I've worked with a room verb in send A, Plate in 2, chamber in 3 for decades now. Insert wise, I've just pretty much always put a specific compressor on every channel insert 1, 2 was always blank for whatever I thought I might need, and 3 was always a specific console plugin (API, 1084, MH Channel, SSL, whatever, for consistency's sake)

I know it's not all that difficult to rearrange plugs in StudioPro, but still, it's kind of distracting. If there's a way to change the insert/send structure, I haven't found it and would sure appreciate the help

No, that's not like S1/Pro was designed. But I know where you coming from and I was at the same point many years ago. I've kinda "faked" my way through this by putting a placeholder into insert locations and used the Mixtool for this. It's just a gain knob so it takes close to zero processing and doesn't interfer the signal if it's just a pass through and of course can be bypassed anyway. But to be honest, I stopped working like this a long time ago and just do it flexible. On the other hand things like "selecting x channels and disable the compression on all" is not possible.
It's a different design and personally the pros overcome the cons for me.
